Stainless steel gate valves provide full-port isolation service for corrosive process media where carbon steel construction would not survive — chemical processing, pulp and paper bleaching plants, marine and offshore applications, food and beverage process lines, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and any service involving chlorides, mild acids, or aggressive process water. The 316 stainless steel body offers excellent resistance across a broad chemistry range while maintaining the dimensional and operational characteristics of standard cast steel gate valves.

Gate valves are intended for on/off isolation service and should not be operated in the partially-open position for extended periods, as the disc face is exposed to turbulent flow and erosion in throttled service. For applications requiring flow control or throttling, a globe valve is the appropriate choice. ANSI Class 150 pressure rating supports working pressure up to approximately 275 psi at 100°F per ANSI B16.34, with derating at elevated temperatures. Flanged ends conform to ANSI B16.5 raised-face dimensions, providing direct replacement compatibility with most existing piping systems. API 600 design and API 598 testing standards ensure consistent dimensional and pressure-test compliance.
