Globe valves are designed specifically for throttling and flow-regulation service, applications where the linear stem motion and stepped disc-to-seat geometry provide finer flow control and better cavitation resistance than gate valves. Common applications include steam isolation and throttling, bypass lines around pumps and heat exchangers, drain and vent service on pressure vessels, instrument-line isolation, and any process where partial-open positioning is required for extended periods.

The L276-CS-150 cast steel globe valve carries an ANSI Class 150 pressure rating with a working pressure of approximately 285 psi at 100°F, decreasing with rising temperature per ANSI B16.34. The bolted bonnet design allows in-line servicing of the stem, disc, and packing without removing the body from the pipeline. WCB cast steel body construction combined with 13Cr stainless steel trim provides solid service across moderate-temperature steam, condensate, hot water, oil, and process chemical applications. API 600 design conformance and API 598 pressure-testing ensure consistent quality and dimensional compatibility with existing plant piping standards.
