Sanitary clamp fittings — commonly known as Tri-Clamp or hygienic clamp fittings — are the most widely used connection style in food and beverage processing, dairy, brewery, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetics, and high-purity water systems. The compression-clamp design assembles a male and female ferrule around a gasket using a single quick-release clamp, allowing rapid disassembly for cleaning, inspection, and maintenance without tools.

The smooth, crevice-free internal profile of a properly installed Tri-Clamp connection prevents the bacterial harborage that threaded or flanged joints would create, supporting Clean-in-Place (CIP) and Steam-in-Place (SIP) cleaning protocols required by FDA, USDA, and 3A standards. Standard sizes range from 1/2" through 4", with 6" and 8" available for larger process lines. Available constructions include 304 stainless steel for general food service and 316L stainless steel for chemical compatibility, corrosion resistance, and biotech applications. Gasket materials include EPDM, Buna-N, Viton, silicone, and PTFE to match temperature, chemistry, and FDA compliance requirements.
